This looks to be an extraordinary conference. What better excuse for a road trip to NYC?

Several of us from Ithaca are interested in attending. If you are interested in joining us, please let us know. Drop a note to karl at chestertonhouse dot org.

Presenters include:

  • Jeremy Begbie, Associate Principal of Ridley Hall, University of Cambridge; an Affiliated Lecturer in the Faculty of Divinity, Cambridge; founder and director of the international research project, "Theology Through the Arts," and author of Voicing Creation's Praise: Towards a Theology of the Arts.
  • Daniel Libeskind, master designer of Ground Zero, first Cultural Ambassador for Architecture by the U.S. Department of State;
  • Karen Goodwin, Executive Broadway Producer of Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, etc.
  • Rob Mathes, nationally renowned music director and a multi-faceted performer;
  • Karin Coonrod, director with American Repertory Theater;
  • Susie Ibarra, percussionist-composer-improviser;
  • David Hegeman, author of Plowing in Hope: Toward a Biblical Theology of Culture;
  • William Edgar, department chair & professor of apologetics at Westminster Theological Seminary
  • Joshua Trent, Chief of Staff - Office of Refugee Resettlement (U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services);
  • Dick Staub, broadcaster, writer and public speaker will moderate the conference.

A diverse range of artistic disciplines will be represented, including a juried art exhibition and music showcase for attendees. A variety of workshops will be offered both Friday and Saturday afternoons.

Transportation: We will provide transportation down and back in one or more vehicles, depending on how many people go from Ithaca. Exact times of departure and return are negotiable, but will probably be Friday afternoon to Sunday morning.

Lodging: We have friends willing to host students at no cost.

Registration is $115 ($100 if by 1/15). Chesterton House will reimburse $50 of this for the first ten students. You must register yourself.
