Fear is a major problem in our culture because we fear 1) the wrong things, 2) in the wrong way. What does the Scripture have to say about fear

Following Friday evening's free public lecture "Love and Fear," this year's Institute of Biblical Studies will continue with three sessions at Bethel Grove Bible Church on Saturday.

The Fear of Others. We are more and more a society of the Lonely Crowd, fearing others and their views of us. Sometimes those fears seem completely justified. How should we look at the fear of others?

The Fear of Failure. Success is the great American dream, but what does success mean to the Christian? How does our definition of success—and its opposite, failure—shape our lives? How should it?

The Fear of Death. Forty years ago, Os Guinness wrote that the final obscenity was death. But it is not feared so much any more; humanity has so given up the quest for immortality that it has become quite comfortable with the attitude that Life sucks, and then you die. How should we look at death?

Dr. Drew Trotter will also preach at Bethel Grove Sunday morning.

Sponsored by Chesterton House, Bethel Grove Bible Church, and New Life Presbyterian Church.
