Resource Room
One of the ways that the Chesterton House ministry promotes the intellectual resources of the historic Christian faith is through our resource room. Conveniently located in the upstairs of the Crossroads Life Center, just two blocks from the Cornell campus, the resource room contains the best Christian scholarship, both classic and contemporary. (Directions.)
In contrast to church libraries and Christian bookstores (except Hearts and Minds), our holdings are not primarily theology, biblical studies, and Christian living. We have volumes in these categories of course, but the bulk of the collection is Christian scholarship across all fields, including art, music, literature, philosophy, law and public life, psychology, sociology, economics, anthropology, education, and business. We also subcribe to over 15 excellent periodicals, all of which reflect on various disciplines and aspects of culture from the vantage point of Christian conviction.
Although there may not always be someone there to assist you, the Crossroads Life Center and the Chesterton House resource room are open the same hours as the Carriage House Cafe--essentially all day every day except Monday. If you would like assistance finding resources for a project you are working on, please feel free to contact Chesterton House Director Karl Johnson at karl@chestertonhouse.org.
